IN A CLASS OF HIS OWN - Clint Reed, a student in Broadview University's Information Technology program, became the first to complete his program of study on Friday, September 28, 2012.

(MERIDIAN) Broadview University is proud to announce it has reached a significant milestone. The campus has graduated its very first student. Clint Reed, a student in the information technology program, became the first to complete his program of study on Friday, September 28, 2012.

Broadview University-Boise opened its doors to students in January 2011. Students learn practical, real-world knowledge and skills as they prepare for high-demand careers in business, information technology, health science and legal science. The campus, which is located in Meridian, offers a variety of master’s degree, bachelor’s degree, associate degree and diploma programs.

Reed, who is among some of the school’s first students to attend Broadview University’s Boise campus, received an Associate of Applied Science in Information Technology degree.

“This is a great place to get an education,” Reed said. “The staff and supporting faculty are great to work with. They really care about you as a person, not just a paycheck. It feels like family when I am there, and I will miss the company of them when I am gone.”

Because Reed is the only graduate in his class, he will be walking at a graduation ceremony with the upcoming fall quarter’s graduates. The event is scheduled to take place at Broadview University on Friday, December 21, 2012.
